The coverage map below shows the approximate coverage provided by all of the Repeaters that form the South West Cluster.
This coverage allows a user to freely move about within this area and remain in range of the South West Cluster Network. To make FULL use of this facility the user should have a radio that will allow Roaming. A radio equipped for roaming allows the user to move about the coverage area without the need to change channel for each repeater. The radio does all of this automatically.
It is important that your radio is programmed with all the repeaters in the South West Cluster and that those channels are entered into a Roaming Group, thereafter the radio will seek out the best repeater and select the appropriate repeater, even while you are transmitting. Also remember that only Time Slot 2 and Talk Group 950 allows connection to the Cluster Network. Slot 1 is for local traffic and Dial on Demand (DoD).
